Amanda is the owner of Elpitha Floral, where she creates Greek and Orthodox inspired Home Decor. Her creations include decorative wall art and signs, floral arrangements, wreaths, front door decorations and more. Her true passion is found in her creations inspired by Orthodoxy.
Amanda began by creating various decorations for her home such as seasonal wreaths, wall art for her daughter’s room, a shadow box for her daughter’s dance class and painting jars to use as vases for flowers from her garden. Then in May 2021 her husband suggested she share her creations with others and start up a small business. Elpitha Floral was born.
Amanda was born and raised in Boston, while living there she worked for Clinique and worked as a makeup artist. Later she moved to Florida in 2010, where she met her husband Angelo while working in the makeup department at Sears. They married in Greece at their village church. Currently they live in Clarksburg, West Virginia with their two beautiful children Fanoula 12 years old, Yianni 6 years old and their dogs Mourko and Panda and cat Apollo. The family tends to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church.
All the sanding, painting, sealing, and gluing is done at their kitchen table along with the washer and dryer. Angelo packs the items to make sure they arrive in one piece.
Currently she sells her creations on Etsy. She loves making custom orders and also sells in bulk to different churches and other small businesses.
