You can call me Hikari. I started drawing when I was in middle school. My first serious drawings were still life sketches, mostly inspired by my mother’s style of art. Now, I primarily draw portraits in anime/manga style which I have been doing since 2015. I love to explore different art styles by manga authors that I look up to. My favorite authors are Yana Toboso, Hirohiko Araki, Asagiri Kafka, and Junji Ito. I try to combine their styles while including my own individual twist.
I illustrate characters from series that I am especially inspired by or speak to me. I use traditional colored pencils for my works, but I am open to exploring different types of media.
My name Hikari (光) means Light, as I seek to bring a little bit of light and joy to people through my art. Hope you enjoy your stay!
